India and Australia recently played a highly dramatic limited-overs encounter. After getting 0-2 down in the series, the Kangaroos bounced back and won it 3-2. The away series win will give a huge boost to the Aussies before the World Cup 2019.
Among the Indian cricketers, Rishabh Pant caught the fans’ eyes for his acrobatic skills. He is always known for his energetic and athletic self on the field. Pant is one of the fittest members of the squad and seems to be a WWE fan.
In the 48th over of the Aussie innings in the 5th ODI, Pant did the famous ‘kip-up’ stunt. The stunt was made famous by WWE legend and four-times world champion Shawn Michaels. He would often do the kip-up and jump to a standing position from a supine one. This move garnered many fans’ attention.

Rohit impressed with Pant’s kip-up
The Aussies will next face Pakistan in the UAE for a five-match ODI series. The Indian contingent will next play the IPL. Skipper Virat Kohli said that IPL’s performances would not be considered for national selection.
But some players would still try to impress through IPL performances. Among them would be Rishabh Pant, who scored 36 and 16 in the last two ODIs. He was also criticized for his error-prone performances behind the stumps.
Meanwhile vice-captain Rohit Sharma was seen impressed with Pant’s acrobatic skill. Rohit was standing close by while Pant did the kip-up. He was seen giving a wry smile seeing the wicketkeeper’s athletic ability.
Moreover this is not the first time Pant had done that move. During the Australian tour last year, Pant was seen doing the exact skill. Then a fan pointed out the similarity of Pant’s move with the legend Shawn Michaels.
