
MS Dhoni’s on-filed controversial action has left the entire cricketing community in utter shock. The ever-calm and composed MSD stormed onto the field after the umpires cancelled a no-ball call.
The incident happened in the final over of the game between CSK and RR. Dhoni got out in the third ball of the game with CSK still needing 8 runs from three balls. Mitchell Santner came to the crease and was welcomed by Ben Stokes with above waist-high full toss.
Straight umpire Ulhas Gandhe raised his hand signalling the no-ball. But the leg-umpire Bruce Oxenford overturned the decision. MSD first showed his disappointment near the boundary lines and then entered the field to speak with the officials.
After an animated and heated conversation, Dhoni walked off the field. Santner hit a six in the last delivery to take CSK to victory. Dhoni escaped a ban for his controversial action, but was fines 50 per cent of his match fees.

Ganguly defends Dhoni
Dhoni’s act attracted widespread criticism from many former players and even fans. However former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly defends Dhoni. When asked about the incident, Ganguly said, “Everyone is human. What stands out is his competitiveness. It’s remarkable.”
Meanwhile Ganguly is currently working as the advisor of DC. His team thrashed KKR by 7 wickets and moved to the fourth position of the table. A delighted Ganguly said, “Two out of two against such a good team is outstanding. I am very satisfied. Everything at Eden is special. This is the best ground, the best pitch in the country.”
