Dhoni Invites Kid To His Lap; Finds Him Not Interested

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is once again looking like relaxed man. The year 2018 wasn’t a good for him because of his woeful performances. He has struggled with his form and there was pressure amounting on him from everywhere.

But since he hit three consecutive fifties against Australia, things have changed. Now his place in the World Cup squad looks certain. Before the World Cup, Dhoni still has international assignment. He will play the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Australia which will start from 24 February.

Recently the 37-year-old appeared in a charity football match where some other celebrities were also present. Many fans came to see his footballing skills and Mahi also took out time after the game to greet them.

Among his fans there was a little kid, who still doesn’t know probably who MS Dhoni is. MSD interacted with him and even offered to pick him up in his lap. But the kid turned down the offer of the iconic cricketer.

The wicketkeeper-batsman was heard saying to the kid, “Aaogey?” But the child turned down the offer and MSD left him with his mother before turning to his waiting vehicle. The video of the incident immediately went viral on social media.

Dhoni among one of the favorites in World Cup

Apart from skipper Virat Kohli, MSD is another Indian from current ODI squad who has more than 10,000 runs. Since making his debut in 2004, Dhoni has played in 335 matches.

In terms of playing matches, he is only third to Sachin Tendulkar (463) and Rahul Dravid (340). When it comes to wicketkeeping, he has 430 dismissals which is only third to Kumar Sangakkara (482) and Adam Gilchrist (472).

The fans are expecting heavily from MSD for the upcoming World Cup. They believe Dhoni will be India’s trump card. If he can perform with the willow and simultaneously read the game perfectly from behind the stumps, India will have immense advantage.

But before the World Cup, Dhoni and Kohli will face each other in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Dhoni will lead Chennai Super Kings while Kohli will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both the teams will face in the opening game of IPL 2019 in Chennai.
