The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is fast approaching. The official broadcaster of the tournament Star Sports is doing everything to promote the upcoming event.
Star Sports is using top Indian cricketers for the promotion. While pacer Jasprit Bumrah challenged Virat Kohli for a duel, young Rishabh Pant also did the same with his idol veteran MS Dhoni.
Bumrah said that he will call himself the best bowler when he disturbs the timber of best batsman Kohli. In response the current skipper released his own statement which is currently going viral among the cricketing fraternity.
Now former skipper MS Dhoni has also released his own statement regarding Pant’s challenge. Pant had done that in the opening promo of the IPL. Dhoni has asked him to show his game and earn his name. Game Dikha Naam Bana (Show your game.. make your name) is currently trending on social media.

In the previous video Pant had said to Dhoni, “Mahi Bhai, Sab aap se seekha hai, toh aap ke saamne game toh dikhana banta hai. IPL mein milengey – Kya kehte ho. (Mahi Bhai, I’ve learnt everything from you and it’s fair to show you my game. Let’s meet in the IPL, what do you say?).”
Dhoni is always known for his cool and calm composure. He seldom gets angry and often keeps a very cool mind. The same was seen in the video where Dhoni accepted Pant’s challenge and also taunted him in return.
Captain Cool said in the latest video, “Jab main maidan main utra tha, toh aise hi shochta tha. Aja Rishabh, wicket ke peeche toh main hi rahoonga. (When I first stepped onto the field, I used to think the same. Come Rishabh, it will be me behind the wickets only).”
This year the IPL will begin from 23 March. The first match will be an epic blockbuster as Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will play against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium.
