MS Dhoni is perhaps one of the greatest captains in the history of the sport. He has always been a natural leader both for his country and the IPL franchises. Overall in IPL , Dhoni has captained in 159 matches so far for Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants.
Dhoni has captained in more matches in IPL than any other player. He has won 94 matches out of 159 and has a win percentage of 59.49%. This is the highest percentage among all the captains who have led their teams in IPL in minimum 30 matches.
With just 6 wins needed to reach the 100-win mark, Dhoni can surely do it in this season. And if he does that, he will be the first captain in the history of IPL to win 100 games.
There are reports that this season might be the last IPL edition for the 37-year-old veteran. However Dhoni will surely achieve this record which will always be a hall-mark in the IPL captaincy records of all time.
