The Cricket West Indies (CWI) have finally revealed their 15-man squad for the upcoming World Cup. The Windies squad will be led by all-rounder Jason Holder, who has been doing fine as a captain in recent years.

The Universe Boss Chris Gayle has also made it to the squad, which might be his last 50-over World Cup. One of the most talented batsman Shai Hope undoubtedly took his place in the team.

Shimron Hetmyer, who is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL, is also included. Darren Bravo has also been named who has made a comeback after a long exile from the format.

As the tournament will be played in England and Wales, the Windies have selected three out and out pacers. Kemar Roach will lead the pace department and will be assisted by Shannon Gabriel, Sheldon Cottrell and Oshane Thomas.

Even Holder himself is no mug as he can open the bowling too. Another option in the pace department is Carlos Brathwaite. The two spinners included in the squad are Ashley Nurse and Fabian Allen.

The blockbuster picks in the Windies squad are Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell. Thanks to a fantastic IPL form with the Kolkata Knight Riders that Russell made it to the squad. However it will be interesting to see if he can fully get fit by the time the tournament starts.
