They can now insert the local boy, the Vidarbha cricketer Jitesh Sharma, who can keep and contribute with the bat too.
Jitesh scored 298 runs in 7 games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was the highest run-getter for Vidarbha. He has a strike rate of 132 per 100 balls and has an average of 28 in T20 cricket.
Mumbai Indians bought the 25-year-old player in the 2017 edition of IPL. However Jitesh is still an unknown entity. As a result Hyderabad might grab him for his base price.
