Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Indian skipper Virat Kohli, started their IPL 2019 in the worst way possible. They were humbled for a paltry 70 runs by defending champions Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.
RCB will now face Mumbai Indians, who were defeated by Delhi Capitals in their opening game. RCB, who have never tasted IPL title, will now like to turn their season around.
They were seen practicing in the nets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of the match on Thursday. In the practice session a young fast bowler caught the attention of many. Donning the RCB colours, the pacer’s bowling action seemed to be an exact carbon copy of Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
It left many social media users stunned as they started questioning whether Bumrah was bowling with RCB colours on. The Indian pacer plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He had hurt his shoulder while fielding against DC at the Wankhede Stadium.

Later the truth of the incident was revealed by a senior journalist on Twitter. He said that the young lad who was aping Bumrah’s bowling action was called Mahesh Kumar. The journalist also revealed that Mahesh was gifted a new pair of shoes by RCB bowling coach Ashish Nehra.
Recently many videos surfaced on the social media sites showing youngsters imitating Bumrah’s unique bowling action. Among them was a youngster from Pakistan too.
Captain Kohli didn’t score many runs in the last game and was the first wicket to fall in IPL 2019. RCB had two back-to-back disappointing seasons in 2017 and 2018, after they made to the finals in 2016. They will now look to get back to the winning ways as early as possible.
