RCB won back-to-back three games after their win over KXIP on Wednesday. All these happened after the South African pacer Dale Steyn joined the squad. He was included as a replacement of Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Steyn played only two games and his first game was on April 19 against KKR. His other game was against CSK and picked up four wickets in both the games.

With Steyn’s arrival, the RCB’s bowling was boosted. They even started picking wickets in the powerplay which they couldn’t do in the season before. However to everyone’s surprise Steyn was left out of the squad against KXIP.

Later reports from Cricbuzz suggested that Steyn had sustained a shoulder injury. As a result the superstar has been ruled out of the entire IPL 2019. Unfortunately he only had the luxury of playing two matches this season.
