The Aussie all-rounder was bought in the trade window and his inclusion lends a good balance. However he will not play the initial part of the tournament. This is because he is part of the national side which is playing the ODI series against Pakistan.

Stoinis started opening for his team very recently. In this year’s Big Bash he opened for Melbourne Star and was a big success. He scored 533 runs at an average of 53.30 and took his team to the finals. In the recently concluded T20 series against India, Stoinis opened for his national team too.

The 29-year-old player is a power-hitter and can smack from the word go. On the other hand he can also play as an anchor. He will be a good option with the likes of Kohli and ABD around him. He can allow other power-hitters to play their game in the middle and death overs.
