Over the history of IPL tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been one of the glamorous teams. They have a huge fan base from the very first year. But unfortunately they haven’t won their maiden title till now.
RCB has some of the big T20 players in their squad. But somehow or the other the trophy has eluded them. Thrice they went to the final (2009, 2011 and 2016), but failed to cross the final hurdle.
The franchise have faltered in the big games and the big names failed to bring glory to the franchise. However the things might change this year as the 12th edition of IPL brings another chance.

Here are three reasons why RCB can win their maiden title in IPL 2019:
1. Decent backup bowlers with variety
In all the previous seasons, bowling has never been the strength of RCB. They had big guns in the batting department which could tear apart any opposition. But when it came to bowling, it haunted them the most.
However this season they have good depth and variety in their bowling department. Umesh Yadav had been impressive last year and was their leading wicket-taker. He will be ably supported to Nathan Coulter-Nile and Tim Southee, who will add international experience.
From the domestic sector, they have Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya. Yuzvendra Chahal will lead the spin department. He will be assisted by 16-year-old Prayas Ray Burman, who will be a surprise package.
This proves that RCB do have a variety in their bowling department which they previously didn’t have. As a result it would be first time that RCB will go into the tournament with a wide range of bowling options.
