2. Akshdeep Nath
The 2012 U19 World Cup winning star has been performing consistently for his team Uttar Pradesh in domestic circuit. Although he had an unforgettable 2017-18 Ranji season, he was the highest scorer for his team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 293 runs in 6 games.
He was purchased by Kings XI Punjab in the last year but remained benched all through the tournament. As RCB has released Sarfaraz Khan, adding Nath to their squad will add to the local batting tally.
The 24-year-old can become a good middle order batsman and can overcome RCB’s middle order woes. Moreover he can bowl part-time middle pace and has also kept wickets a few times. With his insertion, the other batsmen of RCB can perform freely around him.
