Yuvraj Singh Will Play Last League Game Against KKR

It is the last day of the league stage of IPL 2019 and the fourth place is not yet sealed. KXIP are still in the race mathematically, while the real fight is between KKR and SRH.

On the other hand MI will be looking to defeat KKR and get in the top two ranks. As the game is going to be a crucial one, there is no scope for experimentation. As a result reports from India Today have suggested that MI will include Yuvraj Singh in the match.

Yuvi has warmed the bench mostly throughout the season. He has played in just 4 games where he has scored 98 runs. This included a half-century which came in a losing cause. However his strike-rate is 130.67 and his inclusion can be a game-changer for MI.

Who will get dropped from MI squad?

In order to accommodate Yuvraj Singh, MI might decide to drop one overseas player. The most likely candidate seems to be Evin Lewis. This is because he hasn’t batted well so far while playing at number three.

Quinton de Kock has performed well as the opener. As Rohit Sharma is adamant to open the innings, Lewis was demoted down the order. Unfortunately for him things didn’t go his way and he has underperformed since then.

On the other hand Barinder Sran isn’t performing well. In his place, Beuran Hendricks might make a debut. Hendricks was bought in as a replacement for Alzarri Joseph.

The left-arm seamer has done well in the domestic circuit in South Africa. He can be a crucial pick in the encounter against KKR. If MI manages to win the game, then SRH will be the first team in the history of IPL to qualify in the playoffs with just 12 points.
