The upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just days away. The build-up to the mega tournament has already started and the mercury is already rising. This year the tournament will have a special touch to it.
This is because the IPL will be the last major tournament before the World Cup. As a result the players will be eager to put their best foot forward and grab the attention of their national selectors.
On Sunday three-times IPL champions Mumbai Indians launched their new jersey for the upcoming season. The team’s ace players line skipper Rohit Sharma, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Pandya brothers– Hardik and Krunal were spotted donning the new jersey.
Mumbai Indians have previously won the IPL title three times– 2013, 2015 and 2017. If the cycle is anything to consider, the Mumbai Indians fans would want it to repeat it in 2019. Apart from MI, Chennai Super Kings are the other team who have won the title thrice.
