The greatest rivalry of IPL happened this year too when Mumbai Indians hosted Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede. In the match all the eyes were set on the best pacer in the world, Jasprit Bumrah.
Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard did the job with their finishing skills. MI added 88 runs off the last six overs and it was all up to the bowlers to stop CSK’s winning momentum.
But when Bumrah walked onto the field, there were concerns among everyone. This is because of Bumrah’s right swollen eye. It wasn’t looking good and everyone was eager to know the reason behind it.

Did Bumrah get into a brawl?
The commentator went to MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene to know the reason of the swollen eye. He funnily asked if Mahela had punched Bumrah and was the reason behind it. Mahela was all smiles upon hearing the question and then revealed the original story. He said:
I think the story is he is going for a night-out you know and get into a brawl or something like that. Just joking. He missed a straight catch from Jimmy the other day. Bumrah was quite lucky actually. He had a pretty big swelling yesterday evening and managed to get it down. He’s one of the good ones in the team.
The swollen eye had definitely affected Bumrah’s bowling performance. He couldn’t pick up any wicket in his four overs. However it didn’t cost his team much as Mumbai won the game by 37 runs.
