Every cricketing fan of India would definitely remember the jersey unveiling in 2015. One month before the 2015 World Cup, Team India and official kit sponsor Nike unveiled the new jersey.

The unveiling ceremony was done in a stunning manner. The players were seen standing on the roof of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. They were all wearing the new jersey with which they played the World Cup. The video sent all the fans in a frenzy.

This year too all the fans can expect another surprise from the Men in Blue and Nike. It was expected that a new jersey will be unveiled this year as the ICC World Cup will be played this year.

Following the tradition the sponsors have decided to launch the new jersey on March 1 in Hyderabad. This will happen just one day before the commencement of the five-ODI series against Australia. As a result the players will don their new jersey even before the World Cup begins.

Even in 2015, the jersey was unveiled ahead of the tri-series against Australia and England. The players had worn that jersey in that very series. This year the mega tournament will begin from May 30 where England will face South Africa. India will begin their World Cup journey against the Proteas on June 5.

Kohli has warned his teammates before IPL

Ahead of the much-awaited tourney, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has issued a warning to his teammates to remain careful during the IPL. He feels too much T20 cricket might result in bad habits before the 50-over World Cup. He also advised the players to take rest if their teams are in good position.

“All the people who are going to be part of the World Cup squad, they have to make sure that their games don’t go too much away from the one-day mould of things,” Kohli said before the first T20I against Australia. “That means we will have to be very wary of the bad habits that might creep in during the IPL.

“The amount you practice, with the amount of travel during the IPL and the number of games in different conditions, in different temperatures, it is going to be challenging, to be honest. But as a cricketer, you have to map out how many practice sessions you really need. If you are hitting the ball well, there is no need to go to a practice session and tire yourself out for three hours whereas you can utilise that particular phase to rest and recover even more,” he added.
