When the Kangaroos landed in India, they seemed the underdogs for the recently concluded T20I series. This is because just a month ago, India defeated the Aussies in the Test and ODI series in their own backyard.

Moreover the stats were also in favour of the Men in Blue. In the previous 19 T20Is played against the Aussies, India had won 11 of them. However the Men in Yellow stunned everyone and whitewashed India to win the two-match T20I series.

They won the first game by 3 wickets and chased down a mammoth score of 191 in the second one too. Glenn Maxwell was the main architect in both the innings, scoring 56 and 113 not out in consecutive innings.

The series defeat not only shamed India but also former Indian opener Virender Sehwag too. This is because prior to the series Sehwag featured in a couple of advertisements for Star Sports. There he made reference to Rishabh Pant-Tim Paine babysitting banter.

Sehwag was seen babysitting some kids who were wearing Australian jerseys. He took a hilarious dig at the Aussie team before the T20Is. But due to the series loss, the dig has backfired miserably.

The Men in Blue now look forward to avenge their loss in the upcoming ODI series. In the latest advertisement, Sehwag is seen making a phone call and urging the players to win the ODIs and save his reputation.

“Hello, Bhai kya kar rahe ho tumlog yaar? Maine itne ad mein bol diya ki humlog babysitting karenge. Aur tum, bhai dekh lo, marwa mat dena yaar,” Sehwag was seen saying to someone over a phone call.

The five-match ODI series will begin from March 2. This will be India’s last international assignment before the beginning of the ICC World Cup in England and Wales.
