The prestigious mega-event of World Cup is inching closer day-by-day. This year the tournament will be played in England and Wales and will begin from May 30. All the teams will be eager to get their hands on the coveted trophy.
The expectation will be higher in case of India, who are currently ranked second in ICC ODI rankings. They will begin their World Cup journey against South Africa. The Men in Blue have previously won the glittering trophy under the leadership of Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni in 1983 and 2011 respectively.
Meanwhile the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched the new Indian jersey for the upcoming season. The cricketers will wear the jersey in the upcoming World Cup which will last until 14 July.
The new Indian jersey is sponsored by Oppo, which is a Chinese electronics and mobile manufacturing company. The new Indian jersey is a tad light colour than the previous version. BCCI released pictures of Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Harmanpreet Kaur wearing the new Indian jersey.

Good times for both Men and Women’s team
The Men’s team had a decent outing recently. They won the Test and ODI series recently in Australia. Then they won the ODI series in New Zealand, but lost the T20Is. In home conditions they lost the two-match T20I series against Australia.
They will now play the five-match ODI series against the Aussies from today in Hyderabad. On the other hand the Women’s team did reasonably well under Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur. They played well against New Zealand and then defeated England in the ODI series by 2-1.
