The young pacer hasn’t made his national debut yet, but will soon do so. He has express speed and is quite a smart player. Although he struggled in the first four IPL games, he came back stronger and made his point.
BCCI chief selector MSK Prasad is so impressed with Navdeep that he named him as one of the backup option. Currently India doesn’t have a fourth seamer. Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah will be the three frontline pacers.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently considered as the fourth pacer in the World Cup. As a result if one of the main pacers gets injured, the management will definitely think of Navdeep’s name as a replacement.
