1. Suresh Raina
Raina is perhaps one of the most prolific limited overs batsman and an excellent fielder. However since his debut in 2005, he played most of the times down the order. He batted only five times in his first 11 ODIs and hence couldn’t prove his mettle.
Over his whole ODI career he batted at number five or six. There he gave his best and scored five ODI centuries. In IPL playing for CSK, he batted at number three and scored 400+ in all seasons.
But in international circuit he didn’t get much opportunity due to his seniors. After the senior cricketers retired, Rohit and Kohli established themselves in the top order. As a result the lack of opportunities led to his inconsistency and further downfall in his career. Nonetheless he is still one of the finest all-rounders to have played for India.
