2. Dinesh Karthik
The Tami Nadu-born wicketkeeper-batsman had the talent to be one of the successful cricketers. However his international journey was cut short due to emergence of MS Dhoni.
The former Indian skipper caught everyone’s eyes and took the reins of the team in 2007. Karthik couldn’t get much opportunities as Dhoni sealed his place as the Indian wicketkeeper.
Karthik tried his hands as an opener in Tests against England in 2007. However there he lost the race to dashing opener Sehwag. Recently he made a breakthrough on the back of strong domestic performances. But was once again dropped against Australia. Termed as the unluckiest cricketer, the fans are hoping to see him in World Cup 2019.
