India’s young prodigy Prithvi Shaw is trying to make a comeback since his injury. The talented youngster’s dream run was ended in a heartbreaking manner.
After scoring a debut century against the Windies, all eyes were on him in the Australia tour. He began the warmup game with a half-century. But destiny had something else stored for him.
During his team’s fielding, he tried for a catch and landed badly on his ankle. As a result he had to return to India without playing any Test match against the Aussies. Since then he hasn’t returned to competitive cricket.
But he is raring to do so which is quite evident from his latest Twitter post. While posing with his bat, Prithvi sought inspiration from ‘Aapna Time Aayega’ rap from upcoming film Gully Boy.
The ‘Aapna Time Aayega’ rap has taken the entire youth generation of the country by storm. Many youngsters are using it heavily on social media. Even the 19-year-old cricketer couldn’t refrain himself from using it. He wrote in the caption, “Aapna Time Aayega… Injury se Fit Hoke…. Mein Aur Run Banayega… Aapna Time Aayega… ”

When will Prithvi play next?
The Indian team currently have no Test assignments. As a result Shaw might have to wait some more to return to international arena. He might be seen when India tour Caribbeans for two Tests after the World Cup ends.
For now Prithvi is sidelined and is trying his best to hit the ground soon. He might have a chance to play for India A against England Lions in the second four-day game next month.
The selectors have only announced the squad for the first game. If Shaw gets fit in time, the selectors might think about him and might even include him for the second game.
