Yesterday the entire world was celebrating 14 February as the day of love. However in India the day will forever be remembered as a ‘Black Day’ in the history of the nation. The entire country was rocked by one of the deadliest terrorist attacks of all time.
A vehicle packed with explosives ran into a CRPF personnel bus on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Lethpora town. The convoy which consisted of 70 vehicles were targeted by a Jaish suicide bomber, who was later identified as Adil Ahmad Dar.
44 CRPF personnel died in the attack, while many were left injured. Pakistan-based terrorist organisation, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised that the sacrifices will not go in vain. In his tweet he condemned the attack saying, “The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly”.
A grateful nation bows to the martyrs of Pulwama.

Gambhir wants battlefield action
Ever since the attack, all the Indian cricketing community has condemned it. Cricketers like Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammad Kaif and others expressed their views on Twitter.
Among them Gambhir has been more vocal about his opinion. The 37-year-old former player is a die-hard fan of the Indian army. He has always said that he wanted to be in the army more than in cricket.
After the Pulwama attack, Gambhir vented his anger saying that “enough is enough”. He has emphasized on the fact that nothing can be solved with talks on the table. The Indian army should now take the action right to the battlefield.
Yes, let’s talk with the separatists. Yes, let’s talk with Pakistan. But this time conversation can’t be on the table, it has to be in a battle ground. Enough is enough. 18 CRPF personnel killed in IED blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway https://t.co/aa0t0idiHY via @economictimes
