In the upcoming IPL season, Yuvraj will play for the Mumbai Indians. However his history with Mumbai hasn’t been that good. Over the past two decades, Yuvi has been at the receiving end, be it in the domestic Ranji Trophy or the IPL.

The history began back in 2001 when Yuvi scored a brilliant 135 and helped Punjab win the Ranji quarter-finals. In 2005 Yuvi had a ugly spat with a fan while he was returning to the pavilion after making a low score.

In 2008 IPL game, Yuvi’s Kings XI Punjab defeated Sachin Tendulkar’s Mumbai Indians by 1 run. Yuvi started celebrating aggressively and as a result the home crowd booed the all-rounder.

The crowd started calling Yuvi’s then-girlfriend Deepika Padukone as his sister. After the victory, Yuvi said, “The crowds should remember there are players from Punjab who play for India.” Even in 2010 IPL, the crowd teased the left-handed all-rounder.
