5 Indians Who Might Retire By The End Of 2019

4. Irfan Pathan

He was once India’s go-to all-rounder. But at present he is struggling even in domestic formats. The best part of his career was when he broke into the scene.

He last played for India on 4 August 2012 against Sri Lanka. His last Test match was against South Africa in April 2008. Currently he plays for Jammu and Kashmir, where he took 14 wickets in his last 4 games. But his form with the bat has dropped.

Pathan has played 120 ODIs where he scored 1544 runs and took 173 wickets. In 29 Tests he scored 1105 runs and took 100 wickets. In 24 T20Is, he has scored 172 runs and taken 28 wickets. His numbers are excellent. But unfortunately he could never achieve his full potential.
