Better performance on the field
In the shortest format of the game, fielding plays a huge role. It is very important to hold on to every chances and not make a single mistake. However India made several mistakes in Wellington and the major culprit was Dinesh Karthik.
Karthik dropped two sitters in the match. There were also sloppy pieces of fielding from Shikhar Dhawan, Vijay Shankar and skipper Rohit Sharma.
The positioning of the key fielders in the game is very important also. India is a good fielding unit. It was just a bad day at office. They should look past it now and focus on giving a better display in the 2nd T20I.
