1. Partnership between Maxwell and Stoinis

When Australia were 75 for 3 in 10.1 overs, Marcus Stoinis entered the crease. As the Indians were looking to take game away, the partnership between Maxwell and Stoinis prevented it.
They scored 15 off the first 12 balls but then shifted gears by scoring 37 in the next 12 deliveries. They scored 14 off Khaleel’s third over, where Stoinis hit two boundaries.
Maxwell then hit Pandya three successive sixes to score 23 off Pandya’s third over. They later scored 14 of Pandya’s last over and spoiled his bowling figures which read 0 for 55 in four overs.
It was the most expensive spell by an Indian in Australian soil. The duo added 78 runs in 37 balls before Bumrah got Maxwell’s wicket with four balls to spare. The partnership took a pivotal part in deciding the result of the match.
