9th December 2018 – Cricketing Trends On Social Media

Today’s cricketing trends on social media mainly circled around the excitement of the fourth day of Adelaide Test between Australia and India. Until the previous night the game was totally in balance between the two teams.

But Indian batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane took the game away from the Aussies with their brilliant partnership. Both of them stayed patient and didn’t throw their wickets away. They toiled with the bowlers and kept them at bay for the early two hours of the morning.

While Rahane scored 70 runs, Pujara faced more than 200 balls to score 71. But the floodgates opened once both of them got out. Rishabh Pant added a quickfire 28 runs.

But the last four Indian wickets fell in a jiffy for just four runs. Moreover those four runs came as byes. Nonetheless they are standing at the brink of a historic victory and are just six wickets away from it.

Australia ended the day with 104/4 with Australian batsmen Shaun Marsh and Travis Head batting. They still need 219 more runs to win the Test and for that Marsh needs to stay as long as he can. It will be interesting to see how things unfold on the fifth day.
