Today’s topics on social media mainly revolved around the retirement of Gautam Gambhir and the birthday of Shikhar Dhawan.
Gambhir’s retirement from all formats of the game was announced on Tuesday, which created a lot of buzz. All hailed him and thanked him for his knocks which led to the World Cup victories in 2007 and 2011.
Meanwhile the Gabbar of the Indian team turned 33 years old today. All the Indian cricketers poured in with birthday wishes. Dhawan is currently spending time with his family in Australia as he is not picked for the Test series.
Back in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and New Zealand are competing in the third and final Test of the series.
Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali put Pakistan in the driver’s seat. But they lost seven wickets for 62 runs which restricted their lead to just 74 runs in the first innings. The Kiwis are currently trailing by 40 runs and have eight wickets in their hands.
