Weakest Capped Players Of All Franchises In IPL 2019

The 12th edition of the IPL is upon us and just like other seasons, this one also promises to be exciting. They are a lot of new faces in all the eight franchises taking part in the league.

Some teams were aggressive in the auction. They had let go many of their players and thus had to get hold of their replacements. While other teams seemed quite settled and only looked to cover their small shortcomings.

Some of the capped players were either retained or bought in the auction. These players are talented but can be the weakest members of the franchise. Only time will tell if they will perform well or get kicked out of the playing XI midway through the event.

CSK is the only team that has backed its members to the core. Led by MS Dhoni’s ideology, they just brought two players in the auction. They had retained most of their players and Shardul Thakur is one of them.

Although Thakur was their leading wicket-taker yet he is their weak link. Shardul took 16 wickets in 13 games at an average of 27. However he leaked runs at an economy rate of 9.23 per over which is quite high.

The batting prowess of CSK made up for the leakage of runs. However that won’t be the case every time. Shardul have to work extremely on this aspect. He has to restrict the run-flow especially in the death overs.
