The name of Rishabh Pant has made a huge buzz in the world of cricket in recent times. The 21-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman took the world by storm and made an exciting start to his international career.
He is still finding his feet in limited overs format. But the youngster has already become India’s first-choice wicket-keeper in the longest format of the game.
Like the wicketkeeper-batsmen of current generation, Pant’s idol is also the Indian legend MS Dhoni. The young lad from Delhi is also tipped to replace the veteran when he retires from shorter formats.
Apart from making a buzz in international cricket, Pant had a couple of excellent IPL seasons too. He has played for Delhi Daredevils, whose name is now changed to Delhi Capitals. Recently he posted a video on Twitter promoting the upcoming IPL 2019.
In the video Pant is seen paying tribute to the veteran. He said that had Dhoni not been around, he would’ve never become a wicketkeeper-batsman. He then issued a friendly warning that he will come to show his game to Dhoni in the IPL. Pant is seen wearing the new jersey of Delhi Capitals in the video.
Pant posted the video in his official Twitter account. He captioned it by saying, “Mahi Bhai, Sab aap se seekha hai, toh aap ke saamne game toh dikhana banta hai! #VIVOIPL mein milengey – Kya kehte ho, @msdhoni @StarSportsIndia @IPL. [Mahi Bhai, I’ve learnt everything from you and it’s fair to show you my game. Let’s meet in the #VIVOIPL, what do you say?]”
