Picking a player for this pot was the most difficult as there were already four overseas players and an Indian need to be selected. Sandeep Sharma, Deepak Chahar, Ravindra Jadeja were in contention but Bhajji edged them out for his spell in the tournament opener.

Although the pitch assisted the spinners but it is necessary for the bowler to pitch the ball in the right place and outfox the batsman. Bhajji took the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali. Although he went wicketless in the next game, his performance against RCB put him in this list.

11. Jasprit Bumrah – Mumbai Indians

World’s best bowler didn’t have a good start against DC. However he came back stronger against RCB and it was due to his effort that MI won the match. He bowled extremely well in the death overs and gave Lasith Malinga enough runs to defend in the final over.

It becomes very difficult to score against Bumrah and when someone does, they get outfoxed by his variations. Even AB de Villiers feared to go berserk against him which proves his capability. He took 4 wickets in three games so far at an average of 20.75. He couldn’t get any wickets against KXIP and hence MI lost the match.
