4. Manish Pandey
The stylish batsman from Karnataka was last season’s second-highest buy after Ben Stokes. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whooping Rs. 11.5 Crores. But the 29-year-old crumbled under the pressure of his price tag.
Manish could muster only 284 runs from 15 appearances. Although he played all the matches for SRH, yet he couldn’t justify his talent. He has the consistency to excel. Hence the previous season was a major let-down for him and his fans.
After playing exceptionally well for India A and the domestic side, he made a comeback to the national side as well. But because of too much competition in the middle-order, he has lost his place again.
Now his chances of making it to the World Cup squad looks very grim. However he can work hard and prove his mettle in the IPL 2019, which will definitely work in his favour later.
