5 Big Money Players Who Failed Back-to-back In IPL

2. Jaydev Unadkat

It remains a huge surprise as to why Unadkat attracted a huge bid in the previous two seasons. In 2017 he bowled extremely well in the death for Rising Pune Supergiants. This also included a hattrick against SRH.

As a result RR bought him for 11.5 crores to expect same level of performances. But he picked only 11 wickets at an economy of 9.65 last year. RR released him and bought him for a lesser price of INR 8.4 crores this season. However so far his economy has been over 12.

3. Yuvraj Singh

The 2011 World Cup winning star went for a whooping INR 14 crores in 2014 to RCB. However it turned out to be a disaster as Yuvi underperformed and went under lots of criticism. He still scored a decent total of 374 runs in that season.

In the next season his price went even high as DD bought him for INR 16 crores. Things went south more as lack of highest level cricket hindered his performances more. He could only register 248 runs and DD failed to reach the top four.
