Considering the big names and the lineup RCB has, one will definitely expect them to win the title. They have world-class players like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in their ranks. But somehow they fail to live up to the expectations every year.
RCB lack consistency, falter at crucial points and crumble under pressure. As a result they are rightly called the chokers of IPL. While they play stupendously in some matches while in others they have disgustingly poor performance.
The main reason for this is their over-dependence on Kohli and de Villiers. They can single-handedly win a game but when they falter, the team doesn’t have a backup option. Moreover they lack premium bowlers except Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav. If they get injured, the franchise will not have a fall-back option.
