South African and Chennai Super Kings’ leg-spinner Imran Tahir was born on 27 March 1979. The 40-year-old cricketer doesn’t seem that old when he is on the ground. He gets more excited than a youngster whenever he takes a wicket.

He does a lap around the ground after a dismissal and celebrated hard. In Chennai, Tahir is known as the ‘Parashakti Express’. Tahir recently announced that he will retire from ODI cricket after 2019 World Cup.

However he has said that he will continue playing int he shortest format even after ODI retirement. IPL fans will hope that he turn up for yet another exciting IPL season. As far as this season is concerned, he has played both the games for CSK.
