Having made his international debut way back in 2005, Raina became an important member of Dhoni’s team. He played a lot of pivotal cameos while batting in the lower middle order.

However after the 2015 World Cup, Raina’s form has dipped down drastically. He was picked in the ODI team 7 months ago where he scored 47 in two innings against England. Surprisingly before that he had played ODIs way back in October 2015.

In the No. 4 spot, Raina has done well. In 18 innings, he has 6 half-centuries and a century. However Raina always faces difficulties against short balls. His frailties are now exposed to all the bowlers.

Moreover Raina’s ball clearing ability has also diminished. This is evident from his strike rate in IPL over the last three years. It seems that Raina’s international career is all but over. Everyone will definitely remember Raina for his handful cameos in the 2011 World Cup.
