ZIMBABWE VS NEW ZEALAND, 1ST TEST, NEW ZEALAND WON BY AN INNINGS AND 117 RUNS DESPITE A 119 RUNS KNOCK BY SEAN WILLIAMS.

Zimbabwe lost the test match by an innings and 117 runs against New Zealand even though an inspiring innings played by Sean Williams batsman of no. 8, Craig Ervine also came up with his bat and scored a brilliant half century but it was enough for the Zimbabwe to save the match and got all their wickets down for 295 which doesn’t stand near to what the New Zealand has posted in the scorecard.

Ross Taylor was awarded the man of the match for his brilliant unbeaten 173* runs, the man showcased his class with the bat and made the host nation kneel down by the performance from their team. It is now a jolly time for the visitors to enjoy the win and look forward for the 2nd test coming on the 6th of August.

From the bowling department it was Trent Boult who didn’t gave the chance to the batsmen to stand in the pitch and delivered some unplayable deliveries to knock them out and seal the 1st test, he trashed 4 wickets spending away 52 runs. Tim Southee and Neil Wagner gulped couple of wickets each for the side.

New Zealand declared his side for 576/6 in the first innings and the Zimbabwe team scored 164/10 & 295/10 in the first and second innings respectively and lost the match by 117 runs.
