Varun Aaron (Wrongly Retained)
The 30-year-old’s most productive year was in 2014. That season he picked up 16 wickets from 10 games at an average of just 18. But because of inconsistency and injury, his form has dropped rapidly.
Last season he took just 5 wickets from 4 games. As RR has already released Oshane Thomas, it might not have been a good option to get Aaron retained. RR might go for more fresh faces to partner Jofra Archer.
Liam Livingstone (Wrongly Released)
When Jos Buttler departed for England last season, Livingstone was promoted to be a opener. He showed his class by getting a good strike-rate of 145.83. His best score was 44 off 26 against SRH which included three sixes and four boundaries.
Ashton Turner has already been released and Ben Stokes haven’t been good in the last two seasons. In this situation, Livingstone could have been the power-hitter down the order. Moreover he is also a good leg-spinner. The 29-year-old took 14 wickets in 10 games at an average of 15.35 for Lancashire Lightning in the Vitality Blast 2019.
