Mitchell McClenaghan (Wrongly Retained)

Since the start of his IPL days, the Kiwi pacer had been with MI. Last year he went unsold, but an injury to Jason Behrendorff, forced MI to take McClenaghan as a replacement. However he didn’t do enough to get retained.
In the 5 games that he played, McClenaghan took 3 wickets at an average of 47.20. MI has a great pace attack of Trent Boult, Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya. Thus McClenaghan might not even get into the playing eleven.
Alzarri Joseph (Wrongly Released)

In his very first IPL game, the Windies pacer created a record. He took 6 wickets and gave only 12 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The wickets included that of David Warner too. His figures of 3.4-1-12-6 became the best and broke Sohail Tanvir’s 11-year-old record.
However the dream start didn’t last long as he suffered from a shoulder dislocation. However MI might have made a mistake by getting Alzarri released. Despite having a potent pace attack, Alzarri could have been used as a rotation. He has good pace and his height is an added advantage.
