Sunrisers have already got wicketkeeper like Shreevats Goswami. They even went on to purchase another top-class keeper in the likes of Jonny Bairstow. So when they purchased Wriddhiman Saha too, there were many eyebrows raised.

The fans wanted an aggressive Indian wicketkeeper-batsman. But the management decided to go for Saha instead. Last season Saha opened in majority of the matches. he played 11 games where he scored 122 runs at an average of 15 and strike rate of 120.

SRH purchased him for Rs 1.20 crores, which is about five times less than the previous auction. However Saha might have to play down the order this season and hence he cannot be much trustworthy. Moreover he is returning after a long injury spell which will make his game rusty against top-quality bowlers.
