Starc will not be playing the rest 2 matches against India due to a fracture in his foot, and this can be a big blow for the Aussies as they will be missing their top class pacer

He will not be playing at the other two venues viz, Ranchi & Dharamsala, earlier it was Marsh and now it is Starc a double decker blow for the Australians and will face some issues for not having them in the team

“At this stage no replacement has been named for Starc, with Tasmania’s Jackson Bird the reserve fast bowler in the touring party,” said the board via a release.

“Mitchell experienced some pain in his right foot during the second Test in Bangalore which unfortunately had not subsided a few days after the Test as we had hoped,” revealed David Beakley, the team’s physiotherapist. “We made the decision to scan his foot in Bangalore this morning and unfortunately it has revealed a stress fracture.

“Subsequently, this means Mitchell will be unavailable for the remainder of the Qantas Tour of India and will return home to Australia to start his rehabilitation.”

The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series started in Ranchi from March 16.
