The most patient cricketer the world has ever seen is India’s Rahul Dravid. He could bat for long hours and is rightly called the ‘The Wall of Indian Cricket’. Over his illustrious career, Dravid has scored over 13,000 Test runs and over 10,000 ODI runs. Along with that he has taken 210 Test catches.

Apart from being a great cricketer, Rahul was mostly loved for being a good human being. Although his grit and determination earned him many accolades, yet he too believed in superstitions. Throughout his career, he always wore his right thigh pad first. Along with he never used a fresh bat at the beginning of his innings.

Rahul’s marathon 233-run knock against Australia will always be remembered. He was part of many memorable Test series victories against West Indies, South Africa and England. Dravid is currently nurturing the young talents of India. Last year under his coaching, India won the Under-19 World Cup.

Malinga has been Sri Lanka’s match-winner with the ball since his debut in 2004. Whenever Malinga used to bowl with his uncanny slinging action, the opposition batsmen would feel terrified. His unique record of taking 4 wickets in 4 balls will always be remembered.

Malinga also follows unique type of superstitions. Every time he goes to bowl a delivery, he kisses the ball. He believes that the gentle puff on the ball will bring him good fortunes. Because of an injury-marred career, Malinga had to retire from Tests in 2010.

But before that he took 101 Test wickets. Along with that Malinga has 338 ODI wickets, 97 T20 wickets and 170 IPL wickets. The 35-year-old recently retired from ODIs against Bangladesh with match figures of 3/38. Malinga will still remain available for T20 cricket.
