Sunrisers Hyderabad Eager to Bounce Back Against Chennai Super Kings

Cricket News: Having lost their unbeaten start to the 11th edition of Indian Premier League, courtesy of ‘Gayle Storm’, Hyderabad looks to get into the right track when they face Chennai on Sunday.

Hyderabad desperate to get back to winning ways after their maiden loss to Punjab

Both the teams have lost one game and have got six points from four matches. This means that a win by either side will take them to the top of the league table.

Hyderabad’s hat-trick of wins was put on brakes when they lost to Punjab by 15 runs, thanks to Chris Gayle’s 104 not out off 64 balls, at Mohali on Thursday.

Kane Williamson and Co. would have to forget Gayle’s hammering and would have to regroup when they meet Chennai at Pune, their new home ground after matches from Chepauk were shifted because of Cauvery water dispute.

CSK had won their opening two games before they were defeated by Punjab. They bounced back against Rajasthan with a 64-run win, mainly because of Shane Watson’s century (106 from 57 balls).

Shane Watson has proved himself with both bat and ball, as he currently leads the top scorer and top wicket-taker charts this season.

Sunrisers’ bowlers have been in good form. Siddharth Kaul has taken six wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Billy Stanlake and Shakib-al-Hasan have all taken five wickets. However young Rashid Khan is struggling a bit with three wickets from four matches.

CSK has depth in their batting lineup with Ambati Rayudu and skipper MS Dhoni doing a decent job. Sam Billings and Dwayne Bravo have each scored a half-century and would look to do better in the future.

It would be interesting to see if Hyderabad’s star batsman, Shikhar Dhawan, returns to the playing XI after his right elbow got injured while facing his first delivery in the previous match.
