Sri Lankan Cricketer was arrested for Fatal Motor Accident

The Sri Lankan international Kusal Mendis got arrested for allegedly hitting a pedestrian while driving, the Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsmen has allegedly hit a 74-year-old man on a bicycle near the Colombo suburb of  Panadura, and according to the reports after the fatal accident, the man died on the spot.

In the early hours of Sunday the Sri Lankan player was driving his SUV and before the dawn the incident took place according to the reports of the Sri Lankan Police, now after the accident, the Sri Lankan cricket is under the custody of Police and he will be presented before the magistrate later in the day, and simultaneously the police are also doing their investigation on this case.

Kusal Mendis has represented the Sri Lankan national team in 44 test matches and also in 76 One day International matches, and he was also being the part of the Sri Lankan national squad which had resumed their training session after the lockdown.

 In his career so far in his 44 test matches he has scored 2,9995 runs to his name, and in the one-day international cricket he has 2,167 runs to his name for the team, and he also played 26 Twenty 20 matches for the Sri Lankan team and he has 484 to his account in that format.
