SRI LANKA VS AUSTRALIA, 3RD TEST, DAY 3: AUSSIES MADE A COME BACK IN BATTING BUT SRI LANKANS TOOK THE LEAD IN BOWLING

Australia scored a total of 379 runs against Sri Lanka in the third day of third Test

With the end of David Warner in the second day, Aussies closed up with scoring 141 runs. The all total charge was taken by Shaun Marsh and captain Steven Smith. The duo showed a game-changing performance on the Colombo ground. Marsh was bowled out by Lakmal on 130 after he hit 19 boundaries with a strike-rate of 46.26. Captain Smith gathered 119 runs till he was stumped by Perera. 53 came out of the bat of Mitchell Marsh where as Peter Nevill, Moises Henriques and Nathan Lyon could add up only 14, 4 and 3 runs respectively.

Rangana Herath triumphs on his home-ground after demolishing 6 of his rival’s pillars, Dilruwan Perera picked up 2 wickets where as Dhananjaya de Silva and Suranga Lakmal ended the innings each having a single wicket.

Third day ended with Sri Lanka scoring 22 runs with the loss of Dilruwan Perera on 8. Dimuth Karunaratne still on crease with 8 runs and Kaushal Silva standing on 6 for the next day to arrive.
