SRI LANKA VS AUSTRALIA, 3RD TEST, DAY 2: CHANDIMAL TAKES THE PLACE OF DE SILVA

Sri Lanka lined up a manageable score of 355 on the second day

Dhananjaya de Silva starred the first day of the third test and Dinesh Chandimal took the place on the second day after scoring 132 runs as a whole. With a strike- rate of 37.08 he had taken 13 boundaries under his name along with a six. De Silva was sent back by Lyon on 129.  Injured Rangana Herath left the crease on 33 and Suranga Lakmal busted for 5. Sri Lanka lost all of their men, including a retired out (Herath).

Bowling seemed to be a very powerful weapon for the Aussies, Mitchell Starc rose with a fifer where as Nathan Lyon managed to hit 3 of their rivals. Jon Holland got up with a single man.

Australia started their innings in the second half and scored 141 runs before the end of day. David Warner had to leave for 11 runs where as Shaun Marsh on crease for 64. Captain Steven Smith with an unbeaten 61. On the other hand Sri Lankan bowlers tried very well but only single success came to Dhananjaya de Silva.
