Australia getting towards a much required win over Sri Lanka by the end of a low scoring match, it was George Bailey scoring 70 runs for his side that led them towards a convincing victory. The farewell match for Dilshan didn't go well ending up his last match on losing side.
Sri Lanka batting first put 226 runs on board which is indeed a very low scoring total to defend against one of the strongest side of ODI cricket, Dinesh Chandimal the man scored 102 runs for his team allowing the bowlers to get a decent total on board to defend, and it was Adam Zampa who was the best among the Australian bowlers who picked 3/38.
From the view of the Australian batting order it wasn’t even easy for them to get through this total easily, the Srilankan bowlers never allowed them to free up their arms, it was George Bailey that lead the team scoring 70 runs, and from the bowlers arena it was Dilruwan Perera, Amila Aponso and Angelo Mathews the captain that begged 2 wickets each for the side.
