RETURN OF CHRIS GAYLE FOR THE T20s MAY BE MAJOR SETBACK FOR INDIA

As the West Indies board named their t20 squad for the India tour big names in the likes of Gayle has come up on the papers as he has made a comeback during this ongoing series 

He is all set to play at the Sabina Park in Kingston on 9th of July, as we all know how destructive he can be in the shorter format of the game and his comeback has definitely marked a major setback to think upon for the Indian side

Gayle last appeared for the national side on August 2016 after than he was seen in the national squad for long and as of now he has been selected for the India tour for the upcoming t20s

He is the highest run getter for the Windies side in the shorter format of the game and as he has set a major benchmark by becoming the only batsmen in the word to score 10000 runs in t20s , which is way ahead from other competitors in the list 

“We welcome Chris back to the T20 squad,” said Courtney Browne, Cricket Windies’ chairman of selectors. “He is the most prolific batsman in this format and will add value to our team at the top of the order. He will get the chance to play on his home ground and against a top-quality Indian team.

“This squad has a good mix – experience within the batting and bowling – it is a well-balanced squad. Again, this is an opportunity for the young players to showcase their talent and for the experience players to perform and help nurture the young players.”
