The young Afghani admitted that he was a bit of nervous when he was in front of a massive crowd in his first IPL game.
The young spinner is in the news after his brilliant performance in the IPL for his team, in the month of February when the IPL auction was happening the defending champions bucket this player from the auction.
They brought him to trouble their counterpart with his magical bowling and he has been exactly doing that.
In his first IPL game against the RCB side, he picked up two wickets but in that match, he was a bit expensive but in his second game against the Gujrat lions he completely tames the proceeding with his ball and picked up three crucial wickets by giving only 19 runs.
The former SRH man Laxman asked the young Afghani about his feeling when he played his first IPL match he also expressed that he was a kind of Nervous but he said his other team members and coaching staff helps him a lot.
He said: “It felt great and it is so different from what you watch on TV.
To come here, play in the tournament in front of such big crowds and with big names, it feels surreal. I did feel some pressure in the first game, but the coaching staff and captain have motivated me and given me the confidence and self-belief to perform well.”
Question asked to him about his IPL plans the Leg spinner said right now he wants to perform like this and he is only focusing on contributing for his team
He added: “I never set myself goals that I had to get a lot of wickets or put up a man of the match performances. All I focused was on bowling according to the conditions and team’s gameplan. All I wanted to do is to give my hundred percent for the team in whatever capacity.”
